The Blue Boar Pub and Restaurant is open all day every day and is on hand to extend a warm welcome to you at any time.
The Blue Boar is both your ‘go to’ local regular eatery as well as for special occasions, with freshly prepared home cooked food at unbelievably great value served by our friendly, experienced team.
Following a thorough refurbishment, the pub is now a beautiful light, bright and airy space to enjoy warm hospitality, some really great real ales, gins and cocktails and of course, our fantastic value 2 for £22 menus, now available all day, every day*.
We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how good the quality and portion sizes are! We also serve a delicious roast every Sunday from 12 – 5pm and prior booking for this is highly recommended.
Live Music and Entertainment
The Blue Boar is also home to live music and we fully support the local music scene. We’re well known for an array of different entertainment nights, from tribute acts to magicians, charity events to music as diverse as rock, pop, soul…and party! Making a night of it and dining beforehand is the preferred choice of many of our guests, and so booking a table for our free live entertainment evenings in advance is highly recommended. Occasion Buffets
If you’re looking for a stylish venue with ample parking that’s central and able to cater for larger parties and special occasions, speak to us. We offer a superb buffet menu for christenings, wakes, anniversary parties, retirements, birthday parties and more. Prices for our buffets start at just £12.95 per guest.
Afternoon Tea
A new addition to The Blue Boar’s menus are our Afternoon Teas – already a huge hit with hen parties, baby showers, birthday parties – or simply a lovely treat out for friends! Afternoon Tea is available for two guests and upwards by prior booking at just £12.95 per guest.
